This software was written in Visual Basic 4.0 and will not run unless you have VB40016.DLL and its associated files in your Windows system directory (usually c:\windows\system). If you do not have all of the files you need you will either not be able to run setup or you will receive an error from WinExec when you try to run the program. Visit the web page (http://members.aol.com/a2zware/index.htm) to get these Windows 3.1 DLL files. They are free.

This is a version of the classic hangman game which is designed to help grade school age children improve their vocabulary and spelling. It is appropriate for use in a classroom or at home. With this version you can:

-Use the word list of approximately 500 words included with A2Z Hangman 
-Create your own word list
-Include definitions to improve vocabulary
-Transfer words and definitions from one word list to another
-Play the game using the mouse or keyboard

The object of hangman is to guess all of the letters in a word before the hangman is drawn. If the letter which is guessed is in the word it is shown. If the letter is not in the word, another line is drawn on the hangman. 

This software uses the same word list file format as A2ZWare's popular Word Puzzler game (Word Puzzler version 2.0 or higher), so you can enter vocabulary lists and use them with Word Puzzler or Hangman.

To install A2Z Hangman in Windows 3.1:
From the Program Manager File menu select Run. Enter SETUP.EXE (plus the directory where you unzipped it). Run the setup program. 

To install A2Z Hangman in Windows 95:
From the Start Menu select Run. Enter SETUP.EXE (plus the directory where you unzipped it). Run the setup program.

This software is shareware. Use it free of charge for 30 days. If you continue to use it after 30 days, please register. 

You are free to distribute this software to others if you include all of the files and do not modify any files.
