ASCIICAT.HLP This Windows help file displays character sets, conversions, and codes that are useful for programmers, writers and Internet developers. You can create a shortcut to the help file, and pop it up wherever you need a quick conversion. * This book is frequently updated. Stop by the home page now and again to get the latest edition. Select Help, "About ASCIIcat..." to see the publication date. If it's a few months old, stop by for an updated release. * You can page through the file using >> and << buttons. Look all the way through once to see which pages are most useful to you. * Click the Contents button to return to the first page. * The [>] icon on the top left corner each page pops-up the Contents box, which you can use to jump to any screen. * The big blue "A" in the upper-left pops-up an ANSI table * Most pages can be read in a narrow window. The Character Conversion table has some columns that are of limited use; you can make the window narrower than the column width without the columns word-wrapping. * Some keys have new functionality when used with our help files: Spacebar Move to next page Backspace Move to previous page Ctrl+PgUp Move to previous page Ctrl+PgDn Move to next page H Open history window Thank you for using this book. If anybody asks you for a copy of this help file, please tell them to visit my home page and get their own, thank you. Besides, they're likely to get a later, better version than the one you have if they go get their own. And while they're at my home page, they'll probably find something very cool that they really can't live without. Web site: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/r_harvey This is not free software. You may continue to use this book as long as you like without charge, as long as you agree to pop-in to the home page every now and again to look for new stuff, and maybe even find something you'd like to purchase. That is your fee--you must stop by again. It would be nice if you would send a postcard or letter to suggest additions and say thanks, too. Paper mail is much more appreciated than e-mail. Please check the web site for updates and other information and utilities for programmers, writers, and computer users. Richard E. Harvey P.O. It's simple, just place a copy of the picture ASCIICAT.GIF on your web site, and use this link on your pages: Click to get ASCIIcat This is a special download page just for ASCIIcat; it will run politely in a frame. There is a very small mention of the home page. There are no cookies, counters, or scripts. Please do not link to ASCIIcat in any other way--unless you want to link to the main home page. Do not place a copy on your web server--it would soon get out of date, anyway. (C) 1998 Richard E. Harvey, All rights reserved. Please read the license agreement in the help file. Basically, it states that this software may not be redistributed in any way. It can't be bundled in those giant shareware bundles, or handed-out in any way. That's pretty fair, considering how much work it takes to do something like this.
