WELCOME TO HJSPLIT (bèta version) FOR WINDOWS 3.

This is an adaptation for Windows 3.1/3.11 of the popular 32 bits Windows 95 version.

Introduction:
HJSplit is a freeware utility for Windows to split large files into smaller ones. Of course it can join the split parts back together again afterwards. The smaller chuncks are more transportable on disks or data-communications connections.

Package:
HJSplit consists of three files:
HJSpl16.exe (the program)
help.txt (the help-file)
readme.txt (this file)

Installation:
The program can be started directly from the file-manager or program manager.
The exe-file can also be manually added as an icon to a program-group. 
HJSplit.exe can run from a write-protected disk.

Distribution:
You may freely distribute an unchanged version HJSplit on networks, CD-rom, etc. If you want to sell it commercially (charge a price for the program itself) you must have the approval of the author.

Future plans:
Future plans for HJSplit:
* Automatic checksum tests and registration for each split- and original-file.
* Automatic installation.
* A real Windows helpfile.
* Any suggestions are welcome, so you can influence the future development of this program if you like. However, I would like to keep its user-interface simple.
