Pack'n Go 4.0 for Win 3.X/Win 95/Win NT - FREEWARE ================================================== Thank you for Checking out Packn'Go for Win 3.X/Win 95/Win NT freeware. This program is very useful for loading large executables, zip files, and other files larger than 1.4MB onto a series of floppies. The interface is a simple one, making it a simple solution for transporting large files between computers. It is also useful for transporting a file from one OS to another. For instance, you could back-up a file in Win 3.X, and restore it on a Win95 or Win NT system! ==================== Installing Packn'Go: ==================== Copy the packngo.exe file to a directory of your choice on your hard drive, and create a shortcut icon for it. (That's It!) ==================== System Requirements: ==================== 386 - or higher CPU Windows 3.X, Windows95 running in enhanced mode, or Win NT 3.5/4.0 1.44MB 3.5" floppy drive =============== Using PACKN'GO: =============== To Backup a file to floppy: 1.) Click 'START' (Pack'n Go will display a 'Save As' Dialog Box, asking you where to restore the file, and as what name.) (Pack'n Go will then prompt you for all the disks.) Note: The restore name will default to the original name the file had when it was backed up. ====== NOTES: ====== Pack'n Go does not use any compression during backup. It assumes you will be backing up pre-compressed files, such as large zip files, or self extracting archives. Pack'n Go can back-up only ONE file. If you have many files to back-up, like an entire directory, zip the files into a single zip file first, and then back it up with Pack'n Go. When Backing-up with Pack'n Go, only use formatted 1.44MB Floppy disks that contain no files. Pack'n Go cannot erase files on your floppies while backing up. 1.2MB floppies are not currently supported. If you think 1.2MB floppies should be supported send me e-mail to the address below, and if I get enough requests, I will add support for them. ========= FEEDBACK: ========= Please send me feedback!!!!!
