AWEPLAY (v1.3) - AWE32 MIDI/SOUNDFONT PLAYER (DOS) (C) Guenther Klaming 1999 AWEPLAY is a DOS command line MIDI player that supports uploading of SoundFont files (SF2). The program is designed for use with AWE32 compatible soundcards only. AWEPLAY does not depend on any (Creative Labs) sound drivers and files. The program will search for plug&play configuration file CTPNP.CFG and BLASTER environment string to obtain information about the hardware configuration of your soundcard. If this approach does not provide enough information, your hardware will be scanned as well. There is no need to specify SoundFont files at the command line. The executable already contains built-in General MIDI presets. usage: AWEPLAY midifile [sf2file] examples: AWEPLAY radio.mid AWEPLAY radio.mid 4gmgsmt.sf2 AWEPLAY c:\awe\media\radio c:\awe\sfbank\2gmgsmt AWEPLAY will automatically detect and open SoundFont files that are associated (same name and location) with MIDI files. While playing, press "+" or "-" on the keypad to adjust MIDI volume. LIMITATION: Sound Blaster interrupt should not be set to IRQ 10 when running the program in DOS mode. --------------------------------------------------------------------- AWEPLAY is freeware.
