-----------------------

I WILL NOT ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY KIND OF DAMAGE OR LOST OF DATA
DUE TO THE USE OR MISUSE OF SPEEDY.

Speedy was developed with Turbo Pascal 3.02 but should also compile with
every other TP version.Speedy works only on XT's and 286's. On 386 or
 higher it doesn't work!

Speedy has settings for the following computers at the moment.
 COMMODORE PC 30-III (286)
 COMPAQ Deskpro (*) (286 ?)
 OLIVETTI MV250 (286)

If your system isn't listed here then you can use the try mode of speedy
simply start speedy with a 0. (speedy 0)
Then you can enter a new refresh rate. (32 is a good value). Simply
make the value bigger until you get a Parity error or a other error.
With a program which shows you the speed of your computer you can check
 if it works or not.
To test the speed of your computer you can use the added SI.EXE. Which is
based on the PD program COMPTEST from Norbert Juffa.

Also try if you floppy disks still work correct because for the
Commodore PC 30-III there are two speed settings possible one which
doesn't make the floppy to slow and one which speeds up the computer more
but slows down the floppy so that a floppy use is nearly impossible.

If you have found one ore more working settings (floppy problem or not)
please send them to me and also add the name of your Computer system so that
i can add it to speedy for the next release.

(*)
If you have a COMPAQ Deskpro please inform me if this setting realy works
because i have found it in the source of ELKS and i don't know if it
 realy works.
